This hiking route has everything from the jungle to hidden waterfalls and craters! It is one of Oahu’s hidden gems.
From the first moment, we will enter the forest you will feel that you are transported to a different world. On this day you will learn how to hike in wet, muddy conditions, cross streams, climb through wet rocks, and use your hands to hold onto trees and roots. We’ll pass not one, not two, but three waterfalls! We’ll climb alongside the waterfalls using some ropes—it’s not too tough, and you’ll feel like an adventurer.
Once we make it to the top, we’ll get to look inside Ka’au Crater. It’s a super cool, lush green crater that makes you feel like you’re in the middle of a Jurassic Park movie.
After we hit the crater, we’ll head up a ridge that offers sweeping views of the island. You can see from the Koolau Mountains all the way to the ocean. Trust me, it’s breathtaking and totally worth the climb!
